Palliative care (end of life) is provided to residents who are in the final stages of their life.
At Westcliffe we are exceptionally proud of the end of life care we provide, during what is obviously a very challenging time.
Our senior team ensures our residents experience as good a quality of life as possible, the focus being on comfort, pain relief and dignity.
We concentrate a lot on end of life care planning, so that the choices, values and goals of our residents are always recognised and respected. Of course, our primary focus is the resident but our expertise and support is also extended to their family and friends. For them we aim to be prepared and organised, to alleviate as much of the worry as possible and to make sure that they can spend quality time with their loved one; to celebrate the life lived.
Importantly, with the support of our healthcare partners our expertise allows Westcliffe Care Home residents to remain under our care – and stay in their home.
