Bedrooms - Your Room, Your Space!

There are 18 single bedrooms at Westcliffe Care Home, 9 are en-suite and there is a wet room and an adjustable height assisted bathroom.

We aim to make every room as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Whilst all rooms are fully furnished you are encouraged to bring some of your own possessions, as your room is yours to personalise and enjoy. Good examples are TV, radio/music centre and mood lighting. Paintings, pictures and wall hangings can also be mounted on request by our handyman - it really is your room, your space.

Every room is fitted with a call system and where required movement sensors and floor alarm mats. These provide peace of mind to both residents and families, knowing that help is always close at hand, particularly at night time. Once you call, a member of staff will attend to provide the assistance you require.

All rooms are equipped with a TV point.

Although we encourage everyone to be as mobile as possible Westcliffe does have a passenger lift and stairlift (for emergencies). The passenger lift services the ground and first floor, providing access to all the bedrooms.

Mum was in Westcliffe Care Home for four weeks of respite care. She was made to feel very welcome. All the staff were very friendly and supportive. Her room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, as was the rest of the place. She said that she enjoyed her stay and would definitely want to go back if the need arose. The Westcliffe staff asked us to let them know how she got on when returning home and even lent us a commode when we had trouble with delivery.
Westcliffe Care Home was just that... a home from home when the world was in lockdown and my frail mum needed to be looked after. We were at the other end of the world, worried, helpless and unable to assist in any way possible. The management and staff were wonderful and Mum settled in immediately. She enjoyed the last few years of her life in comfort and safety with the companionship she had missed living on her own. I could write reams but our experience with Westcliffe can be summed up in the words of a staff member who said about the Residents... "They are family."
My mother-in-law has settled well into Westcliffe Care Home and is generally very happy there despite her progressing dementia. Her room is really nice and the communal rooms, gardens and food are all great but the standout feature of the home is the staff. They are all so kind and lovely to her and us, making it feel like a real home-from-home. We are really glad we chose a small care home like this as the personal service and care is excellent. Because it's such a small, friendly team any issues can easily be discussed and resolved.
This is a warm and friendly home with caring staff. Tasty meals are freshly prepared and cooked in the kitchen. The garden is attractive with lawns, shrubs and bird feeders. The beds and chairs are very comfortable.
