Your room – Your own space

We aim to make every room as comfortable and welcoming as possible. You are encouraged to bring your own possessions and items of furniture, as your room is yours to personalise and enjoy. Good examples are TV, radio/music centre and mood lighting. Paintings, pictures and wall hangings can also be mounted on request.

Every room is fitted with a nurse call system, providing you with the security of knowing that assistance is always close at hand, particularly at night time; once you call, a member of staff will attend to provide the assistance you require.

Your room is equipped with a TV point. If you wish to have your own TV then you would be responsible for paying your own TV licence fee (only applicable to those under 75 years of age).

Each room can also be connected to BT; connection to BT is optional. Service Users renting a BT line are responsible for their own individual account. There is a phone in reception (which is answered 24 hours a day) for all residents who do not wish to have their own phone and of course all messages received on the business line will be forwarded to residents.

5 person passenger lift

Although we encourage everyone to be as mobile as possible Westcliffe Care Home does have a full passenger lift that is situated in the centre of the home. The lift services the ground and first floors.
